The 2017 High Lonesome 100 had 73 and 53 finishers (73% finishing rate). Only two runners competed the run in under 24 hours (Anthony Lee and Mike Wolfe), and the average finishing time was 31:37:56.
There were 20 DNFs, 12 of which were missed cutoffs, the other 8 dropped. Of the folks who qualified by a 50 miler, 5/10 finished (50%). Of the folks who qualified on a 100k, 4/7 finished (57%). Of the folks who qualified on a 100 miler or longer, 34/45 finished (75%). Surprisingly, runners from states with low elevations did as well as runners from states with higher elevations. In both cases, about 75% of the populations finished the race.
