Welcome to the High Lonesome 100’s second annual running camp!
…also known as the little less lonely version of the High Lonesome 100. This camp continues in the High Lonesome tradition of building community-oriented events that showcase the best the mountains have to offer. With almost 60 miles of point-to-point running, this is the perfect way to experience the High Lonesome course, train for your race(s), meet new people, and spend some quality time in the mountains.
Based out of the picturesque and cozy Salida Hostel, the 3-day camp will consist of three days of guided and fully shuttled runs on the High Lonesome 100 course. To make things easy for you, we take care of all the logistics. We provide the lodging, nourishing home cooked meals, daily transportation, and daily run guides…we’ll even throw in some epic photographs of you crushing the mountains and be your personal hype human.
To make sure everyone gets to run at an enjoyable pace, we are splitting the runs into two pace groups …fast and medium. Each group will have at least 1 guide and each group will be no-drop, meaning that we will stop at predetermined locations to regroup with their runners. There will be no aid stations during the runs so you will need to carry all your own food, water, and gear. Water filters are highly encouraged.
The camp is open to anyone….current runners, future runners, pacers, or those simply interested in seeing the Sawatch. This year’s camp size will be 17-21 people, depending on how the rooms get booked. We will also have a small waitlist as it’s likely that two or three people may drop out. Please note, these runs require participants to be in good physical condition. You cannot exclusively hike these runs; you need to be able to run flats and descents at a minimum.
